Volunteer Opportunities:
Spend time at the UGC Rose Garden

For Individuals

Picture
Our usual Maintenance Day at the Rose Garden at the Urban Garden Center is scheduled for the first Saturday of every month from 8am – approximately 10am.

No experience necessary - Just show up with your pruners, garden gloves, drinking water, and your hat and have fun with us in the Rose Garden!  You'll learn how to dead-head the roses and spruce up the Rose Garden and surrounding area in preparation for the following Saturday’s “Second Saturday in the Garden” monthly event at the Urban Garden Center.

Please contact our UGC Rose Garden Directors for more information:

For Corporate Groups and Other Volunteer Teams

If your group is interested in volunteering to work in the UGC Rose Garden whether it is for a one-time community service project or an on-going commitment throughout the year, we welcome you to join us.

No experience necessary Have fun in the Rose Garden while developing team building with the Ohana-spirit.  A limited number of pruners, loppers, and other equipment are available for your group to borrow when working in the garden.  Just remember to bring your garden gloves and a hat.  For organized pre-scheduled volunteer days, the HRS may be able to supply drinking water and light refreshments for all volunteers.
